West Orange Gas Station Clerk Shooting Caught on Camera
Attendant shot in groin, gunman takes off in white convertible, officials said.
Police are looking for an armed robber who shot a gas station attendant in the groin in West Orange Monday night.
Surveillance video of the robbery shows the employee of the Delta station on Park Avenue scuffling with a masked gunman. After the clerk is shot, he stops resisting and lets the attacker go through his pockets.
The victim was taken to University Hospital in Newark where he was treated for his injuries and released, according to NJ.com.
The gunman, wearing a white shirt, light-colored pants and white shoes, is seen running off in the video and may have fled in a white convertible, officials said.
The armed robbery took place at about 9:45 p.m. at the station between Spring Street and Ashland Avenue.
