West Orange High Names 2014 Valedictorian, Salutatorian

Susannah Crowell has been named Valedictorian of the 2014 graduating class of West Orange High School. Susannah earned a GPA of 5.1, is Captain of the Cross Country team, member of winter and spring track, Vice President of the Math National Honor Society, Co-President of the Chinese National Honor Society, and member of the Chinese Club, Science Honor Society and Escriptus (the English Honor Society). Susannah will be attending Princeton University next year. Susannah’s proud family includes parents Jon and Emily, and her brothers, Nicolas, a 2014 graduate of Princeton University (computer science), and David, a rising junior at The College of New Jersey (chemistry major). Susannah will speak at the 2014 graduation ceremony on June 19th at South Mountain Arena, about using knowledge from one’s past to craft an approach for one’s future.

Emily Adelsohn has been named Salutatorian of the West Orange graduating class of 2014. Emily earned a GPA of 5.0, is President of Jewish Student Union, Treasurer of the Math Honor Society, a member of Math and Science National Honor Society and WO Marching Band. Emily will attend the University of Pittsburgh next year. Emily’s proud family includes parents Rick and Lisa, and brother David. Emily will also speak at graduation, utilizing themes on life and the future based on the story of Cinderella.
