WEST ORANGE, NJ — There are plenty of ways for students to take advanced placement (AP) classes at West Orange High School. And more teens than ever are taking advantage of the district’s offerings, administrators say.

The high school currently offers 23 AP courses in languages, mathematics, English-Language Arts, the sciences – and even music.

While challenging, the courses give students the opportunity to take AP exams in those subjects, raising their GPA and in most cases, awarding college credits for students scoring 3, 4 or 5 on their tests.
