In West Orange: How To Throw Out A Christmas Tree

WEST ORANGE, NJ — If you’re looking to get rid of a Christmas tree in West Orange, mark Tuesday, Jan. 2 down on the calendar. That’s the day that the town’s Christmas tree pickup begins, according to a recent municipal alert.

West Orange officials posted the following message to the town’s Facebook page on Tuesday:

“Residents must place their tree at curbside in front of their homes, WITHOUT A PLASTIC BAG and all decorations/ ornaments must be removed from the tree so that it can be recycled. Residents can also bring them to the Environmental Center if they choose to do so. Call 973-325-4067 to schedule pickup.”
