West Orange HS Alum Joins National Tour Of ‘The Color Purple’
Gabriella Rodriguez's stage experience at Liberty Middle and West Orange High included a role as Ariel in "The Little Mermaid."
WEST ORANGE, NJ — A West Orange High School alum has scored a role in a national tour of "The Color Purple."
According to school administrators, Class of 2017 alumna Gabriella Rodriguez will join the cast and head out on tour from October to May, 2020. She’ll perform as part of the ensemble, play the role of "Squeak" and understudy the role of "Nettie."
Rodriguez got some key stage experience starring in musicals at Liberty Middle School and West Orange High School, most notably as "Ariel" in "The Little Mermaid."
