West Orange Mayor's Coronavirus Case Update: 'Be Careful, Smart'
West Orange residents should "continue to be careful and smart," including wearing a face mask and social distancing, Mayor Parisi said.
WEST ORANGE, NJ — West Orange Mayor Robert Parisi released an update on local coronavirus case and death totals on Monday. He advised residents to “continue to be careful and smart,” including wearing a face mask and social distancing.
Parisi wrote:
“There are no additional COVID-19 related deaths to report. The township total stands at 195 of our neighbors that have succumbed to the virus. Our continued sympathies to the families and all those impacted by this virus. There are 10 additional cases since yesterday, bringing the West Orange total intake of cases to 2,512. Four residents are currently hospitalized.”

- Total Intake of West Orange Confirmed Cases – 2,512 (includes deaths)
- Cases Officially Transferred to Other Municipalities – 98
- Recovered and Closed Cases – 2,229
- Total Current Active West Orange Cases – 185
- Total Negative Test Results of West Orange Residents – 11,974
According to Parisi, the 10 additional cases confirmed on Monday include:
- 11 Year-Old Male
- 16 Year-Old Female
- 20 Year-Old Female
- 35 Year-Old Male
- 36 Year-Old Female
- 38 Year-Old Female
- 40 Year-Old Female
- 49 Year-Old Female
- 68 Year-Old Female
- Unknown Age Male
“These 10 cases come from three different addresses,” Parisi wrote. “Seven cases come from previously reported addresses. Of the 185 active cases, 140 cases come from different addresses. Forty-five addresses contain multiple cases.”
