West Orange OEM: Avoid Driving During Storm, ‘Hunker Down’
West Orange: "High winds and ice-cold temperatures will make it harder for DPW and utility crews to clear roads and restore electricity."

WEST ORANGE, NJ — The West Orange Office of Emergency Management is calling for residents to hunker down, stay indoors and avoid driving during the state’s first major snow storm.
“High winds and ice-cold temperatures will make it harder for Department of Public Works and utility crews to clear roads and restore electricity,” West Orange municipal officials said Thursday afternoon.
West Orange officials added that people should “check on elderly residents to make sure they are well and riding out the storm in a safe, warm place.” For more information, call the Office of Emergency Management at 973-325-4175 or visit www.westorange.org.
