West Orange police arrested an Orange resident Wednesday in connection to at least three overnight home burglaries in the township's Gregory and Valley sections.
Dawshawn Porter, 19, of Orange, was taken into custody by West Orange officers without incident, according to Jessica Glicker, the township's public information officer.
Porter is charged with burglary and theft related to three burglaries that occurred since the beginning of January this year. He also is charged with three burglaries in South Orange, according to South Orange police.

Glicker said through an investigation, property was recovered from recent burglaries. The recovered items and how Porter was taken into custody were not released because the investigation is continuing.
Porter is in Essex County jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
