West Orange Preps For Bad Weather Tuesday; Schools Closed

West Orange preps for possible snow and ice on Feb. 12. Public schools are closed.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — Gov. Phil Murphy has declared a state of emergency as weather forecasters call for possible snow, ice and freezing cold on Tuesday, Feb. 12, and West Orange officials are taking note.

Due to the weather forecast and declared state of emergency, the West Orange Public School District will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 12. All after school activities, child care programs, evening events and athletics are cancelled, including the Faculty Scholarship Concert.

The snow date for the concert is Feb. 19, officials said.
