West Orange Residents Can Apply For ‘Town ID Card’ (Here’s How)

Need identification? People living in West Orange can apply for a municipal card, the township recently reminded its residents.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — Need identification? People living in West Orange can apply for a municipal ID, the township recently reminded its residents.

According to an advisory on the municipal website:

“The township recognizes that many residents within the township do not have access to verifiable forms of identification and have difficulty obtaining services requiring such identification. To assist those who have difficulty obtaining effective identification by other means, the township has established a municipal ID program.”

Applicants can call 973-325-4155, to schedule an appointment. Appointments are available Monday to Friday (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) No walk-ins are allowed.

The program was established via an ordinance from the township council in 2017.
