West Orange, NJ - Visitors of all ages brought Purim cheer to Daughters of Israel residents on March 24.

One of the “most festive and popular of the Jewish holidays,” Purim celebrates the deliverance of the Jews from their imminent doom at the hands of their enemies in the biblical Book of Esther, according to About.com.

Purim is celebrated on the 14th day of the Hebrew month of Adar, which usually falls sometime in February or March.
