West Orange School Board Swears In New Members For 2023
The West Orange Board of Education also appointed a new president and vice-president at their annual reorganization meeting.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — The West Orange Board of Education held their annual reorganization meeting earlier this week, swearing in new board members and appointing a new president and vice-president.
Jennifer Tunnicliffe was sworn in for her second term, and newcomer Robert Ivker was sworn in for his first. Tunnicliffe carried the most votes in the Nov. 8 election with 7,782 and Ivker received 6,113 votes for the two slots open on the board.
Board member Eric Stevenson nominated Brian Rock as board of education president for 2023, and Jennifer Tunnicliffe nominated Melinda Huerta for vice-president. Both were voted in unanimously, with Ivker abstaining.

All reorganization agenda items were passed at the Jan. 5 meeting.
The next board meeting will be held in the Library Media Center at West Orange High School on Monday, Jan. 23 at 7:30 p.m.
