West Orange School Super: Here’s Why Students Got Trapped By Snow
Students throughout West Orange spent the night at school after being snowed in. What's being done to stop it from happening again?

WEST ORANGE, NJ — The freakishly severe snowstorm that stranded West Orange students in their schools and buses last week – and caused commuting chaos throughout the area – is finally in the rearview mirror. But what's being done to make sure the events of Nov. 15 won’t be repeated?
On Saturday, West Orange Acting Superintendent Eveny de Mendez wrote school community members a detailed letter about the district’s response to the snowstorm, as well as the decision-making process that led to the choice to hold what may be the largest slumber party in the township’s history.
