West Orange St. Patrick’s Parade Gets Shout-Out In Irish Parliament
West Orange's popular St. Patrick's Day Parade recently got a shout-out on the floor of Ireland's national parliament.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — West Orange’s popular St. Patrick’s Day Parade recently got a shout-out on the floor of Ireland's national parliament.
The Shillelagh Club / Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh-Essex County shared a video of Senator Gerry Horkan’s speech on Wednesday, during which he mentioned his recent trip to New Jersey (watch it here).
Horkan thanked the group for inviting him to West Orange’s 2024 parade, adding that they’re helping to contribute to the Irish diaspora across the world.

“I don't think we should ever underestimate the power of the Irish brand,” Horkan told his peers. “And it doesn't happen by accident. It's all these clubs and all these organizations all over the world, promoting Ireland in a positive way. And I just like to thank them for that.”
