West Orange Students Craft Handmade Wooden Toys For Kids
A West Orange High School woodworking teacher has been tasking his students with a special holiday assignment for the past several years.
WEST ORANGE, NJ — Students in West Orange recently put their newly earned woodworking skills to good use this holiday season, creating sustainable – and working – toys that will be donated to local children.
West Orange High School woodworking instructor Max Grossman has been tasking his students with the special assignment for the past several years.
This year, the class got a visit from Mayor Susan McCartney, who stopped by to thank the students for their hard work.

The toys will be distributed to children through the Holy Trinity-West Orange Food Pantry, school administrators said.
