West Orange Teens Perform at Milwaukee's Summerfest

Alex and Wolf Scheitinger performed at Summerfest in Milwaukee, billed as "the World's Largest Music Festival."

Alex and Wolf Scheitinger, two West Orange teen musicians representing School of Rock Montclair, performed at Summerfest, an 11 day concert event that’s held annually in Milwaukee and is billed as “the World’s Largest Music Festival”. Summerfest attracted close to 1,000,000 attendees, and took place from June 24 through June 28, and from July 30 through July 5.

“Alex and Wolf students rocked the same huge stage as The Flaming Lips, and the same event as Stevie Wonder, Sublime with Rome, Buddy Guy, and Third Eye Blind,” says Kevin March, Creative Director for School of Rock Montclair. “I couldn’t be more proud of the progress that they’ve made and the skills that they’ve developed as a result of their participation in School of Rock Montclair’s Performance Programs, and I’m looking forward to being blown away by their continued development and growth as they continue their musical journeys with us.”

Alex, 18 years old, played guitar, bass, and sang for the School of Rock band. He graduated from Seton Hall Prep in June and will be attending Oberlin College in September. His brother Wolf, 13, sang and played drums for the band. He’ll be a freshman at West Orange High School in September.

“I loved being part of School of Rock’s shows at Summerfest,” says Alex, who’s part of a School of Rock All Stars band that will be performing at Lollapalooza in Chicago this week.

“It was really cool to play a massive event at a top-notch concert venue,” says Wolf.
