West Orange Town Council Enters New Era: 3 Sworn In, New President

Joe Krakoviak, Joyce Rudin and Michelle Casalino triumphed in the 2024 election. One of them was chosen council president this week.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — The West Orange Town Council swore in a new member, welcomed back two previous members and selected a new council president to kick off the new year.

A swearing-in ceremony took place Monday evening for Joe Krakoviak, Joyce Rudin and Michelle Casalino. Each recently emerged victorious in the 2024 town council election. Read More: West Orange Election Results Certified (See Winners, Write-In Votes)

Krakoviak was later chosen as the council’s new president for 2025.

Casalino and Krakoviak have previously served on the council. Rudin will be serving her first term.

Krakoviak was administered the oath of office by retired municipal judge Harry Starrett. Rudin’s oath was administered by Maplewood Mayor Nancy Adams. Casalino’s oath was administered by New Jersey Sen. John McKeon.
