West Orange Traffic: Walker Road Will Close For Water Main Construction
If Walker Road is part of your daily commute through West Orange, get set for a disruption starting Aug. 10.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — If Walker Road is part of your daily commute through West Orange, get set for a disruption on Thursday.
Starting Thursday, Aug. 10 and lasting about two weeks, Walker Road will be closed to through traffic between Gregory Avenue and Northfield Avenue, according to a municipal news release.
The closure is due to the construction of a new water main by the New Jersey American Water Company on Walker Road in the vicinity of Undercliff Terrace South and Burnett Terrace, West Orange officials stated.

“The closure will be only during weekday daytime construction hours starting at 7:30 a.m. and continuing to 5 p.m.,” officials stated. “Drivers shall use Gregory Avenue and Northfield Avenue as alternate routes.”
