West Orange Will Recognize Columbus Day, Indigenous Peoples Day

WEST ORANGE, NJ — The Township of West Orange will recognize Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples Day on Monday, Oct. 10 for 2022.

According to a municipal notice, all township offices will be closed that day. However, there will be regular trash or recycling pickup, as well as a regular jitney schedule.

Many towns and community groups across New Jersey and the United States have begun celebrating Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples Day simultaneously on Oct. 10.
