WEST ORANGE, NJ — A West Orange youth tennis star has qualified to compete in the upcoming “Little Mo” Nationals in Austin, Texas, from Oct. 13 to 17, school officials announced.
The Mt. Pleasant student, Rohan Belday, is currently ranked second in the 12–Year-Old Eastern Division (NY, NJ, CT) and is one of only 16 players in his age group to qualify for the nationals, school administrators stated.
“Belday has shown great promise recently, earning a United States Tennis Association scholarship to train with USTA coaches in Queens, NY,” school officials wrote in a news release. “He was one of six players selected for the prestigious scholarship from a pool of over 140 Tri-State players.”
