The Older Adult Advisory Board was established by the township to serve as a volunteer advisory committee to the mayor and township council with regard to issues affecting the safety, welfare, health, finances, transportation, social interaction, housing, and quality of life for older adults and their caregivers. This board held its first meeting in April and has provided the community with a forum to tackle the issues of aging in place for West Orange residents.

The Older Adult Advisory Board will use the information gathered by the “town hall” meeting to continue to make recommendations to the mayor and the township council on the needs of seniors and their families.

Light refreshments will be served to celebrate the holiday period.
