World Cup Soccer Team Feasts On Pizzas From West Orange Restaurant

A popular eatery in North Jersey got a chance to serve up some slices to World Cup heroes.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — A local restaurant in West Orange recently got a chance to serve up some pizza to World Cup heroes.

The Norway National Soccer Team recently celebrated their stunning, 2-1 quarterfinals win over Brazil with a feast courtesy of Bagels By Jarrett, ordering up 20 pizzas after the game. The eatery came through, serving up a payload of pies to the hungry athletes, NJ Advance Media reported.

The local shop’s purveyor, Jarrett Seltzer, said the Norwegians finished 18 pies in 25 minutes – which he described as an honor.

Since opening his bagel shop more than half a decade ago, Seltzer has taken the town by storm. The eatery has expanded both its physical footprint and its menu, opening a walk-in “slice shop” last year that has now become a beloved part of the business.

The FIFA World Cup games in New Jersey officially kicked off in June. The tournament's local matches are being played at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, which has been temporarily renamed New York New Jersey Stadium.
