256-Unit Complex Near Hillsdale Train Station Begins Leasing

HILLSDALE, NJ — The Piermont, a 256-unit residential complex five blocks from the Hillsdale train station, began leasing this month, a spokesperson said.

The complex includes both apartments and townhomes, as well as "lifestyle amenities."

New Jersey officials have attempted in the last three decades to encourage "transit villages," areas where residents can live near mass transit and walk or take a bus or train to their destinations.

At the Piermont, residents can choose from among studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments, and 11 townhomes.

Rents start in the $2,700s, a spokesperson said Wednesday. Promotions are being offered, including two months' free rent in some cases.

"Chef-inspired kitchens anchor the homes," said a release, "while upscale finishes and appointments include 9- to 11-foot ceiling heights, luxury plank flooring, modular closet storage, solar window shades and in-home washer and dryers. In the kitchens, residents will enjoy white quartz countertops, two-tone Shaker cabinetry, Italian marble tile backsplashes, and stainless-steel appliances."

The project is a collaboration between BNE Real Estate Group, Claremont Development, and March Development.
