8 P.M. Curfew In Effect Monday In Hillsdale, Police Said

A 'zero-tolerance' policy is in effect regarding acts of criminal mischief, trespassing, and 'aggressive' behavior, police said.

HILLSDALE, N.J. — An 8 p.m. curfew for children is in effect in the borough on Mischief Night and Halloween, police said.

In the past, homes have been the target of eggs, rocks, and paintballs; toilet paper has been strewn across utility lines, creating a potential hazard for motorists, police said.

A "zero-tolerance" policy is in effect regarding acts of criminal mischief, trespassing, and "aggressive" behavior, police said. Anyone found defacing or damaging property will be brought to police headquarters and processed accordingly, police said.

Any toilet paper, shaving cream, eggs, spray paint, paint ball guns, or any "destructive" items children who are out are found to have will be confiscated and the names of all unsupervised juveniles will be recorded, police said.
