WESTWOOD, NJ — Pencils, protractors and calculators are nearly ready for action as Westwood Regional students return to class next Wednesday for the 2026-27 school year.
The district calendar confirms the opening date, with teachers reporting Monday to prepare classrooms and welcome students back.
Students will have a short first week, with classes Wednesday and Thursday before schools close Friday and Monday for the Labor Day weekend.
Westwood Regional School District includes Westwood Regional High School, Westwood Regional Middle School, Berkeley, Brookside, Jessie F. George and Washington elementary schools.
Families may want to review schedules, transportation plans and school-specific instructions before students head out the door Wednesday morning. They may also want to double-check transportation arrangements, schedules and opening-day instructions before students leave home.
