WESTWOOD, NJ — Westwood's postponed car show has a new date on the calendar, giving residents another chance to check it out this fall.
The 4th Annual Car Show is now scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 11 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Veterans' Memorial Park, 50 Madison Ave., in the parking lot behind the train station.
As Patch previously reported, the show was originally planned for Sept. 27, with Oct. 11 designated as the rain date.
More than 25 trophies are up for grabs, including new trophy categories planned for this year's event.
DJ Nick Salsa is slated to provide music throughout the day, with breakfast and coffee planned in the morning and burgers, hot dogs and soft drinks for lunch. Spectators can attend for free, while vehicle owners pay $25 to show their cars. Vehicles must arrive by 11 a.m. to be judged.
First- and second-place trophies will be awarded across categories spanning vehicles from 1900 through 2006, along with Ford trucks, Chevy trucks, Corvettes, Mustangs, exotic and foreign vehicles. The show will also be awarded Best of Show and the Mayor's Trophy.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to American Legion Westwood Post 206.
Vendors and anyone looking for more information about the event can visit the Westwood Antique and Classic Car Club's website at westwoodnjcarclub.com.
