Authorization to Remove Sign at High School, Police Changes Expected to be Discussed at Township Council Meeting

Washington Township officials are expected to vote to grant authorization to remove the township sign from the high school at tonight's council meeting. At the last meeting, and suggested a pole near Ridgewood Road be removed.

Councilmen may also discuss . At the last meeting, Councilman Joseph D'Urso said the change wouldn't affect any personnel and could be a cost saving measure for the township. At the time, members of the council said they would discuss the issue further at tonight's meeting.

The topic of hiring a permanent administrator may also come up tonight. Acting Administrator Lilly Chin's contract expires at the end of the month.

The council meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. tonight in the municipal complex, 350 Hudson Ave.
