Bergen County Man Dumped Woman's Body After Overdose: Prosecutor

A Cresskill man is charged with failing to report the death of a person and unlawfully disturbing human remains after he allegedly dumped the body of a woman who had overdosed on drugs, authorities said Wednesday.

Mila Kostadinova’s family reported her missing to the Dumont Police Department on June 2, 2014, said Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli. Kostadinova was with several friends before she went missing and was at Antony Freay’s house in the early morning of June 2, authorities said.

Freay, 19, allegedly kept Kostadinova’s body at his residence before dumping it off the Palisades Interstate Parkway after she overdosed on drugs, Molinelli told Cliffviewpilot.com.

Freay reportedly led investigators to the spot where he illegally disposed of the body.

A body was found near the Women’s Federation Monument along the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Alpine, but authorities have yet to positively identify it as Kostadinova’s, the website reported.

The investigation and search for Kostadinova’s body is ongoing, Molinelli said.

Freay, who is single and unemployed, was also charged with unlawfully desecrating or damaging human remains, hindering apprehension by concealing evidence, and hindering apprehension by providing false information, Molinelli said.

Freay’s arraignment date has not been determined yet. He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail for failing to pay $50,000 bond with no 10 percent option.
