There is no shortage of classes for kids to enroll in this fall, and it's not too late to register! Whether they love dancing, tumbling, sports or creative arts, there is something for every tiny dancer, sport squirt, mini Mozart or yogini in your family. Here's just a sampling of what's available in the area.
Westwood Recreation Department will be taking registrations for its upcoming Fall Children's Programs beginning September 10 at 9AM for Westwood residents. Most classes run for 8 weeks and are held at the Westwood Community Center located on 55 Jefferson Avenue in Westwood. Dance classes include abrakadoodle art, ballet, hip hop, chess, Mommy & Me, piano lessons, soccer, golf, volleyball and basketball. Non-Westwood residents may sign up for programs starting September 17 if openings are available and pay an additional $25.

Aeon Fitness and Gymnastics (157 Patterson Street, Hillsdale) is a family-friendly gym with programs for kids ages 18 months and up. Classes include Parent and Me for ages 18 months to 3 years old, Tiny Tigers for 3-5 year old boys and girls, Mild Special Needs Minis for ages 3-5 with mild disabilities, Creative Movement Ballet for 3-4 year olds and Jazz/Ballet for 4-5 year olds. Paragon Gymnastics (49 Walnut Street, Suite #4, Norwood) has been offering kids of all ages fun and creative classes for over 30 years. Their fall classes include Parent Tot for ages 24 months until potty trained, Preschool classes for ages 3 to 5, Kindergarten classes for ages 5 to 6 and instructional classes that incorporate the trampoline, uneven bars, balance beams, spring floor, vault table and tumble trak for 1st graders and up. Come sing, dance and play with the folks at A Hum Music presents...Music for Aardvarks. This rockin' music program with locations in Park Ridge, Ridgewood, Waldwick, and Washington Township offers children ages 5 months to 5 years old to shake their little booties with unique songs, a jamming session with musical instruments, dancing and more. beyondMUSIC at bergenPAC presents Music Speaks, an early childhood music program that provides developmentally appropriate music and instruments for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers ages 2 months through 4 1/2 years old. The program uses a mix of traditional and contemporary songs from around the world to bring out children's innate musical nature and expand their musical horizons.
