Elderly Westwood Woman Seriously Injured In Car Crash: Police
Breaking: The crash occurred at Broadway and Irvington Street just after 10 a.m. Tuesday, police said.
WESTWOOD, NJ — An elderly borough woman suffered serious head and internal injuries after she was struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning, police said.
The 77-year-old was was hit at Broadway and Irvington Street at 10:11 a.m. by an 86-year-old woman driver from River Vale, Westwood Police Lt. Jay Hutchinson said.
The injured woman was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, Hutchinson said. She was admitted into the hospital's Intensive Care Unit for treatment and observation.

The Westwood Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating the crash. Further details will be released when they are available, Hutchinson said.
