Register For YJCC Day Trip to Monet's Garden at N.Y. Botanical Garden

Visit “Monet’s Garden,” a tribute to French impressionist Claude Monet at the New York Botanical Garden, with the Bergen County YJCC on Wednesday, May 23. The day trip begins at the YJCC, 605 Pascack Road, Township of Washington, at 9:00 a.m., with the return planned for 4:30 p.m.

The gardens and flowers that inspired Monet’s art will be showcased. The exhibit includes the Conservatory glasshouse and outdoor courtyards, as well as rarely exhibited Monet paintings never before seen in New York in the Library, Monet’s original palette, a digital version of his sketchbook and more. This will mark the first time many of these items will be assembled in one place since they left Monet’s studio.

After a docent-led tour, participants are free to wander the splendor of the grounds. Fee for the day trip is $60 for YJCC members; $70 for non-members, including round-trip coach transportation, admission, docent tour; lunch is on your own.

Registration by April 23 is required. For complete information and registration, contact Jill Brown, YJCC Adult Services Director, at (201) 666-6610, ext. 5812 or jbrown@yjcc.org.
