Gas Main Break Causes Pascack Road Closure in the Township
PSE&G is working on the problem
Pascack Road is closed southbound at Washington Avenue in Washington Township because of a gas main break. PSE&G is working to fix the problem.
PSE&G Spokeswoman Annette Hicks said the break was caused by ice buildup from the most recent storm. She said crews are working and should be finished by the end of the day, though she didn't have an exact time. She said service to customers is unaffected.
Washington Township Police Lt. Richard Skinner said Pascack Road is closed to southbound traffic while the work is being conducted. Police are on the scene.
