Hillsdale Firefighters Rescue Man Who Fell Into A Trench Monday: Police

The man, who was working at the electrical substation on Paterson Street, sustained non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

HILLSDALE, N.J. — Emergency responders rescued a man who fell into a trench and injured his leg Monday, police said.

The Hillsdale Fire Department, Police Department, and Ambulance Corps. were dispatched to the electric substation on Paterson Street for a worker who had fallen into a trench and injured his leg, police said.

First responders began treating the man's injured leg, while firefighters used their truck and rescue ropes to lift the man out of the trench, police reported.

After he was removed, paramedics form Hackensack University Medical Center took the man to the hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
