Westwood To Honor Fallen Marine At Post Office Renaming Dedication
Westwood's post office will officially be renamed for hometown hero Saturday

Westwood's is hosting a dedication ceremony Saturday at 11 a.m. to rename it in honor of Marine Sgt. Christopher Hrbek lost his life in Afghanistan Jan. 14.
Hrbek lived in Westwood and the story of his tragic death at age 25 has greatly affected many in the area. The Sgt. Hrbek Memorial Fund and a website have been set up in his honor, and in Westwood is also dedicated to the fallen soldier who received a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.
Westwood Mayor John Birkner Jr. said, "I encourage all members of the governing body and certainly all residents of Westwood to attend, to witness this historic rededication in honor of Westwood's hero."

Because of the ceremony, Westwood Avenue between Fairview Avenue and Kinderkamack Road will be closed to traffic from approximately 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Birkner said cars will be able to move through Fairview Avenue and access the public parking lots.
All businesses on Westwood Avenue will be open and accessible by pedestrians throughout the ceremony.
