Man Dies In Firey Bergen Crash On Garden State Parkway: Police

A man was killed Sunday morning when the car he was driving crashed into a toll booth on the Garden State Parkway North and became engulfed in flames, State Police said.

John Muller V was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:03 p.m. at Exit 165, State Police Sgt. Jeff Flynn said.

Muller was driving a 2001 Acura and attempted to exit the parkway when he struck a mounted cement island and a toll booth at 11:45 a.m.; the car flipped over and became totally engulfed in flames, Flynn said.

State police are investigating the one-vehicle accident, police said.
