Pascack Valley Rail Riders: Major Changes Coming Starting Sunday
The changes will be in place starting Sunday and last until Oct. 17. Train tickets will be cross-honored on Main/Bergen Lines.

WESTWOOD, NJ — Riders on the Pascack Valley Rail Line will see major changes for the next several weeks as NJ Transit replaces many trains on the line with buses due to maintenance work.
Mid-day weekday and weekend trains will be affected, NJ stated in a notice on its website. The work is expected to last through Oct. 28.
During midday weekday hours, buses will operate in two sections:

- Between Spring Valley and Secaucus. These buses will operate express between New Bridge Landing and Secaucus.
- Between New Bridge Landing and Secaucus, making all stops except Teterboro.
- Teterboro customers must use NJ TRANSIT’s No. 161 bus, which stops at Industrial Avenue and Route 46.
For Train 1622, buses will operate in three sections:
- New York State express between Spring Valley and Secaucus (no local stops in New Jersey)
- Between Montvale and Secaucus, operating express between New Bridge Landing and Secaucus
- Between New Bridge Landing and Secaucus, making all stops except Teterboro.
Trains will operate between Secaucus and Hoboken during midday hours while buses are running.

On weekends, local and New York State buses will operate between Spring Valley and Secaucus. The last outbound bus of the night will stop at Teterboro only by request.
Train 69 on the Main/Bergen County Lines to Port Jervis will depart Hoboken five minutes later than it normally would. Pascack Valley Line customers going from Hoboken and connecting with a bus from Secaucus will use this train.
