Paddle by Kayak or Canoe on the Beautiful Spatterdock Marsh - Guided Nature & Photo Op Tour - This Sunday, May 15, 2016!

Please join watershed protection group Bergen SWAN for a leisurely two-hour paddle on a serene section of the Hackensack River, just north of Lake Tappan, in Rockland County, NY.

Nature writer Jim Wright and nature photographer Ron Shields will guide participants on a journey through some lovely quiet water that is home to myriad birds and other wildlife. Bald Eagle, Green Herons, and Kingfishers have been spotted and can be photographed here. We will also learn more about the unique ecosystems that are freshwater marshes.
