Pascack Valley High School Teachers Were Ranked The Fifth Best In N.J.

94 percent of students at this school are considered proficient in math and/or reading.

The teachers at Hillsdale High School were ranked the fifth best group of high school teachers in New Jersey by Niche.com.

Niche.com recently released its 2015 list of high schools with the best teachers throughout the nation, as well as the state of New Jersey, and many schools you’ll recognize received high ranks.

“While there are always weak spots in a staff, most of the teachers are very committed to their work, forming great relationships with their students, and remaining available (whether electronically, or in real life) for their students’ questions,” one reviewer said on the school’s Niche.com entry. “Many are young alumni of the school themselves, and able to relate to their students. Almost all are knowledgable in their subjects and like what they do.”

There are 94 full-time teachers at the school for a 13:1 student-to-teacher ratio. The national average is a 16:1 ratio.
