Caring About The Strays (C.A.T.S.), Inc. will be hosting an adoption event on Saturday, July 22nd, 11 AM to 2 PM, at Thomaston Feed, 688 Westwood Avenue, River Vale, NJ. There will be kittens and cats of all ages that are hoping for a forever home. It will be a special day featuring face painting, lemonade stand, and a LuLaRoe tent! Stop by, have some fun, and adopt love.
C.A.T.S. is a 501(c)3 charity, rescuing cats, kittens and dogs since 1995 and does not have a shelter facility. Each animal thrives in the loving home environment of a dedicated volunteer. When you adopt from C.A.T.S., these volunteers will provide detailed information about each pet’s personality. This helps to ensure a perfect match for a forever home. It also provides assurance that a knowledgeable volunteer will be able to give you guidance should you need it after adoption. Adoption fees vary and includes neutering, vaccines, testing, deworming, and microchipping. Special rates are available for certain pets and pairings of pets who have bonded.
Last week, C.A.T.S. rescued two young housecats from Broadway in Westwood, NJ. They were obviously “dumped” there, frozen in fear, sitting in front of storefronts, while the trains and traffic soared. They didn’t move a muscle as they were scooped into carriers and brought to an animal hospital for evaluation. Both are sweet, 6 months to under a year old, and ready for a safe, loving home.

C.A.T.S. can only help as many pets as they have foster homes. Food, supplies, and medical costs are all covered. Whether you are a single person, family, or senior citizen, you can become a foster. C.A.T.S. “Senior Foster Program” is the perfect opportunity for a senior citizen to enjoy the companionship of an older, manageable pet, without the worry of incurring high costs.
C.A.T.S. Resale Shop, located at 80 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ, supports the organization. Donations are tax deductible and accepted Tuesday through Saturday, 10 AM to 5 PM. Jewelry, women’s clothing, antiques, decorative items, art, household items, collectables, etc.
