Prominent Properties Sotheby's International Realty's Hillsdale Donates Over 300 Pounds of Food to Helping Hand Food Pantry

December 7, 2015 – REALTORS® of Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty, one of Northern and Central New Jersey’s leading real estate firms, have teamed up to to help fight hunger within their communities. As part of the company’s annual Food Drive Challenge with Move for Hunger, over 20 agents from the Hillsdale Regional office came together to help make a difference at their local food pantry.

During the month long food drive, Hillsdale agents bought groceries and brought non-perishable food items from home into their office located at 137 Broadway. Family, friends and clients of agents also participated in the Move for Hunger food drive to help those in need and put an end to hunger.

By December the Hillsdale Office collected approximately 300 pounds of food and over $200 dollars in donations. Agents delivered a car load filled with boxes and bags of food items to their local food bank, the Helping Hand Food Pantry located at 349 Hillsdale Avenue.

“Hunger is prevalent in our communities,” said Hillsdale Office Manager Eleanor Stern. “As agents we are part of this community and it is important for us to provide for those in need. I am extremely proud of my agents in the Hillsdale office who have come together and have shown their dedication towards serving others.”

Anyone that would like to contribute to the Helping Hand Food Pantry can bring non-perishable food items anytime at the Hillsdale United Methodist Church, located 349 Hillsdale Avenue or during normal business hours at the Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International Realty’s Hillsdale location at 137 Broadway. While all donations are certainly welcome, the most needed food items are boxed milk, canned meats, coffee, flour, juices, mayonnaise, cooking oil and sugar.
