PSE&G Inspecting Gas Meters In Hillsdale

The free inspections take about 10 minutes.

HILLSDALE, N.J. — PSE&G is inspecting customers' gas meters throughout the next few weeks.

The inspections are to ensure the "continued safety and reliability of gas services," in Hillsdale, the utility said.

The free inspections will take about 10 minutes and customers do not need to schedule an appointment. Inspectors are going door to door.

Gas service will not be interrupted unless a meter needs to be repaired. Service will not be turned off due to billing status.

Customers should always ask inspectors to show the property identification. PSE&G inspectors carry a photo identification badge, wear clothes with a PSE&G logo and drive PSE&G branded vehicles.
