River Vale's Victoria Csatay in Axelrod's Production Of "Billy Elliot The Musical"

Get ready to be amazed, be inspired, and be moved when BILLY ELLIOT The Musical takes the stage at Axelrod Performing Arts Center in a production featuring 12-year old Victoria Csatay of River Vale. BILLY ELLIOT The Musical begins Wednesday November 3rd and runs through Sunday, November 20th. Opening Night is scheduled for Thursday November 4th at 8:00 pm.

Playing the role of ‘Debbie Wilkinson,’ Victoria most recently played a lead role of “Peggy” in the NYC premier of the Off-Broadway production of The Hundred Dresses. Among her favorite performances have been playing the role of Sophie in The School of Rock and having the role of Chinese girl in the 2015-1016 season of Turandot at the Metropolitan Opera. Victoria enjoys performing regularly with the Broadway Youth Ensemble and is a member of the NJPAC Jazz for Teens as well as a member of the New York City Tap Crew. She dances competitively at Perpetual Motion Dance Studio in River Vale. Victoria is a 7th Grader at Holdrum Middle School.

Based on the international smash hit film and featuring an original score by music legend Elton John (The Lion King, Aida) and Lee Hall, BILLY ELLIOT The Musical is the inspirational story of a young boy’s struggle against the odds to make his dream come true. Set in a northern English mining town, against the background of the 1984 miners’ strike, audiences will follow Billy’s journey as he stumbles out of the boxing ring and into a ballet class where he discovers a passion for dance that inspires his family and community and changes his life forever.
