Berkeley Avenue School Named A 2017 National Blue Ribbon Winner

The Westwood school has been named one of NJ's 2017's National Blue Ribbon Schools, one of just 17 in the state to be so honored.

WESTWOOD, NJ — The U.S. Department of Education has named Berkeley Avenue Elementary School a 2017 National Blue Ribbon School.

Berkeley Avenue Elementary School is one of just two Bergen County schools to receive the honor this year. St. Peter Academy in River Edge is the other.

Only 17 New Jersey schools were named as a National Blue Ribbon School for 2017. For the full list click here.

The Berkeley Avenue Elementary School is a part of the Westwood Regional School District.

The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program recognizes outstanding schools including: public schools including charter schools, magnet/choice schools, Title I schools, and non-public schools including parochial and independent schools.
