Westwood, Hillsdale, Washington Twp. Firefighters Sworn In
Dozens of firefighters from several Bergen County municipalities were sworn in at a ceremony Friday.
WESTWOOD, NJ — Several people from Westwood, Hillsdale and Washington Township were sworn in as firefighters Friday.
The men and women are among the 125 newest graduates of the Bergen County Law & Public Safety Institute Fire Academy.

Washington Township: Michael Riedel
Rep. Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5th) congratulated the graduates.
"Thank you for having our backs. We will always have yours," Gottheimer said. "You all are about to step into big shoes. North Jersey Fire Departments are filled with real life heroes — men and women who fight fires and save lives every day. Firefighters are real heroes."
