Westwood Mail-In Ballots Sent: What Voters Need To Know

WESTWOOD, NJ — Westwood residents who registered to vote by mail in the upcoming general election may want to start checking their mailboxes, as ballots are now being sent to voters ahead of Nov. 3.

The borough posted a notice Tuesday from the Bergen County Clerk's Elections Division announcing that ballots have been mailed to voters with active vote-by-mail requests for the Nov. 3 general election.

Voters can track their mail-in ballots through New Jersey's online portal. First-time users must create an account before using the tracking system.

Completed ballots may be returned by mail, at a secure county ballot drop box or in person to the county Board of Elections. Mailed ballots must be postmarked by Election Day, while ballots returned in person or through a drop box are due by 8 p.m. that day, according to the New Jersey Division of Elections.

For Westwood mail-in voters, the notice provides a timely heads-up to watch for their ballots and gives them a way to check their status once voting materials are in the mail.
