Westwood Man, 19, Charged With Robbing Newark Gas Station
BREAKING: Corey J. Walker allegedly assaulted a gas station attendant, demanding money from him.

WESTWOOD, N.J. — A borough man was arrested and charged with robbing a Newark gas station early Saturday morning, police said.
Police responded to a call at 2:50 a.m. Saturday about a robbery at Globe Gas on Raymond Boulevard, Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said in a press release.
A man entered the station driving a black vehicle, got out, assaulted a gas station attendant, and demanded money from him before fleeing the scene in the vehicle, Ambrose said.

Police saw the vehicle speeding at Raymond Boulevard and Jefferson Street and stopped it, Ambrose said.
Corey J. Walker, 19, was arrested after officers determined that he was a suspect in the robbery, Ambrose said.

Walker was charged with robbery.
