Alan Abad, also known as Alina Abad, 20, of Westwood, pleased guilty in court to a count of first-degree murder and two counts of second-degree murder, said Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Walsh.

Abad will be sentenced to 25 years to life in state prison on June 22, said Walsh's office. The prosecutor will recommend the maximum sentence, his office said.

Abad was charged in February 2025 with the murders of Evelyn Aguilar-Agustin and Anabelly Aguiar inside a Spring Valley, N.Y. home.

According to a police complaint obtained by Patch last year, Spring Valley police received a call the night of Feb. 15, a Saturday, to check on the welfare of someone on Gesner Drive.

Police found two women with "significant head injuries," the complaint said.

One woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other was taken to Westchester Medical Center, where she later died.

Abad was arrested at 3 p.m. on Sunday and taken to the Rockland County Jail.

In the complaint, police said that Abad struck Aguilar-Agustin "about the head and body numerous times" and struck Anabelly Aguiar the same way, to prevent both from calling police.

A release from Walsh's office said that Abad attacked Anabelly Aguilar's head and upper neck, fracturing her spine and causing brain injuries and hemorrhages.

Abad also caused blunt force trauma to Evelyn Aguilar-Agustin’s head, face, and abdomen.

“The defendant brutally and senselessly murdered two women," Walsh said. "My office will continue to advocate for them and seek the maximum penalty allowed under the law.

Various reports last year said that Abad — whose legal name remains Alan, but who used Alina on social media — posted a TikTok video dancing with one of the aunts hours before the slayings.
