100 Percent Of All Woodbridge Classrooms Now Air Conditioned
This does not mean all hallways, cafeterias and gymnasiums are air conditioned. This only applies to classrooms, said the district.
WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Spring is right around the corner and at the most recent Woodbridge school board meeting, last Thursday, Board member Dan Harris announced that "100 percent" of all classrooms in the district are now air conditioned.
This does not mean all hallways, cafeterias and gymnasiums are air conditioned. This only applies to classrooms, he stressed.
The lack of air conditioning in all classrooms is something a lot of Woodbridge parents have emailed the district about in the past.

To address that, the school district took inventory of all 25 schools this winter and "100 percent of all classrooms will now be air conditioned," said Harris. "If anyone knows otherwise, please let us know. This is something the district has been working towards."
Also, last week we reported that Woodbridge schools got a $19 million increase in state aid funding, one of the largest bumps in the state. At last Thursday's meeting, resident Tom Maras asked the district how they plan to spend the extra money and superintendent Joe Massimino immediately replied it would be on school security.

"Security has been one of the things we have been talking about," said Massimino. "This money will give us a tremendous advantage. We're looking to beef up security and this additional money is exceptionally helpful in that area."
He did not elaborate what exactly the district will do. Stay tuned!
