15-Mile Traffic Delay on Garden State Parkway South During Thursday Rush Hour
BREAKING: No accidents, but traffic is crawling from East Orange to Woodbridge due to sheer volume of cars.

Incredibly, there is a 15-mile traffic backup on the Garden State Parkway during the Thursday evening rush hour, going on now. And it's not because of any accidents: It's just the sheer volume of cars on the road, State Police tell Patch.
"This is almost a 14- to 15-mile delay," said State Trooper Alejandro Goez. "Traffic is literally crawling right now."
The backup stretches on the Garden State Parkway southbound from Exit 145 (I-280 in East Orange) south to Exit 131A (Wood Avenue/Woodbridge). State Police suspect it may be heavy amounts of Jersey Shore traffic as people duck out early for the holiday weekend.

"There are no accidents. This is just sheer volume of traffic," said Trooper Goez. "We would advise anyone to avoid the Parkway right now if they can."
