WOODBRIDGE, NJ — The 2022 midterm Election Day has arrived.

There is a secure ballot dropbox at the Woodbridge Municipal Building, 1 Main Street. The dropbox is curbside, adjacent to north side of the main entrance stairs to town hall.

If you are voting by mail, your ballot must be postmarked by Nov. 8. Track my mail-in ballot.

U.S. Congress: Woodbridge is in the Sixth Congressional District, long represented by Frank Pallone, a Democrat. This year, he will be challenged by Republican Sue Kiley, the former mayor of Hazlet and a Monmouth County Commissioner.

In town, only one Council seat is open and that is in the First Ward: Current Councilwoman Sharon McAuliffe (D) will be challenged by Republican candidate John Vrtaric.

In the Woodbridge Board of Education, four Woodbridge residents are running for three seats. They are:

  • Tom Maras
  • Current Board member seeking re-election, Akshar "AJ" Sidana "Improving Education" slate
  • Current Board member seeking re-election, Jonathan Triebwasser "Improving Education" slate
  • Current Board member seeking re-election, Joseph Velez "Improving Education" slate
